The Owners
Meet John, Maureen & Serena Kauffman
John and Maureen moved to Florida in 1989 from Pennsylvania, where John apprenticed as a carpenter with Pennsylvania Dutch Artisans. He was raised in Amish country where he grew up with old-world values, maintained a strong work ethic, and earned respect from customers. After relocating to Southwest Florida, John continued to work in the building trade as a cabinetmaker on custom yachts and as an installer of various manufacturers’ products . As his popularity grew, he found it necessary to expand his horizons to satisfy his clients’ requests and opened his own cabinetry showroom in 1997 and began to train others in the methods he had acquired. The experience of working with numerous manufacturer’s products gave him significant insight into the value of the product he choose to carry in his own showroom.
Maureen joined John in the showroom in 2007. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, experience as a Real Estate Broker, and a Florida Certified Residential Contractor who also possesses a flair for design, Maureen handles the bookkeeping and purchasing for the company in addition to providing design and marketing input.
In 2024, John and Maureen’s daughter, Serena, joined the family business, bringing with her a strong background in construction management and an interest in design. Serena assists Maureen in the design and management process and supports John in field operations, ensuring each project runs smoothly from start to finish. Before returning to Florida to join the family business, Serena earned a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management and worked in Boston as an Assistant Project Manager, managing interior tenant fit-outs ranging from $200k to $4 million. Serena is dedicated to maintaining the company’s tradition of craftsmanship and customer service while offering a fresh perspective and a detail-oriented approach to every project.
Along with our installers and designers, we are happy to partner with your choice of General Contractor or other tradespeople to provide a seamless project. We can also provide recommendations of various tradespeople we have worked alongside on prior projects.
